About Deidra Sisk
MS, RD, LDN

Specialties: Adult eating disorders, child & teen eating disorders, pediatric nutrition

Deidra Sisk (she/her), MS, RD, LDN, is an eating disorder dietitian who practices Health at Every Size® (HAES) and Intuitive Eating. She specializes in counseling those with eating disorders of all ages and is passionate about working with pediatrics and teens. Currently she’s only seeing patients virtually.

She received her Bachelor of Science (BS) and Master of Science (MS), both in Nutrition Science, from East Carolina University and became a Licensed Dietitian (LDN) in 2015. She shifted her nutrition career path to focus on eating disorders after her earlier work with low income families quickly taught her that disordered habits do not discriminate based on race, age, gender, or social, health, or economic status. She has 7 years of experience working with all levels of care for eating disorder treatment centers, and 5 years experience working with outpatient chronic disease management. Her places of experience include: The Meadows Ranch (formerly Remuda Ranch), Empowerment Treatment and Counseling, and Nutrition in Motion.

Her greatest passion for her career comes from seeing her own patients become healthier versions of themselves. “It is so rewarding to see: a young adult graduate high school with honors after struggling with their ability to focus for years, a woman get married with the freedom to eat her wedding cake after years of avoiding sweets, and even a patient with a chronic condition get off of medication that they were told they’d have to take the rest of their life,” she says. She will work with anyone willing to make their goals a reality and loves being a part of the process that gets them there.

Outside of work, she participates in local team trivia, and she is on the board for Ricky’s Retreat, a non-profit dedicated to saving the lives of people struggling with mental health crises. She likes to read novels, ride her bike, and spend quality time with her husband, Joey, and little dog, Trudy.
