Abby Caudle-Patton (she/her) is a Registered Dietitian who is deeply passionate about empowering her clients on their nutrition journey.

Abby derives profound fulfillment from forming meaningful counseling relationships with her clients. In her recent role as a nutrition counselor at a local private practice, Abby dedicated herself to supporting individuals dealing with diabetes, cardiovascular conditions, autoimmune diseases, and gastrointestinal concerns while also fostering a positive relationship with food. She specializes in disordered eating, eating disorders, and chronic disease management for teens and adults. Additionally, Abby has a special interest in supporting cancer survivors with nutrition-related side effects following treatment.

Prior to becoming a Registered Dietitian, Abby served as a Therapeutic Assistant at Veritas Collaborative, an eating disorder hospital in Durham, North Carolina. In this role, she provided crucial support for children and adolescents aged 9-18 at various levels of care, including inpatient, acute residential, and partial hospitalization. Her role included therapeutic conversation, meal support and supervision, leading goal setting groups, assisting patients with hygiene tasks, and ensuring milieu safety. This experience deepened her passion and understanding of the complexities of eating disorders, reinforcing her commitment to holistic and empathetic treatment.

Abby’s interest in dietetics was sparked during her first semester at North Carolina State University, where she graduated with a degree in Applied Nutrition Studies. Driven by her passion for health, wellbeing, and individualized care, Abby pursued advanced studies in dietetics at Meredith College, earning her master’s degree. Abby completed her clinical training at Wayne Memorial Hospital and interned at Ruby Oak Nutrition.

Beyond her professional life, Abby finds solace in mindfulness walks, yoga sessions, and the occasional game of tennis. She is an avid reader, particularly drawn to mystery novels, and cherishes quality time spent with her son and husband. Abby’s home is shared with two delightful dogs, Whiskey the Chocolate Lab, and Gibson the Miniature Schnauzer.
