A VALUES-DRIVEN PRACTICE BUILT BY DIETITIANS
Do the work you love alongside a team that supports you.
At Ruby Oak Nutrition, we specialize in eating disorders, disordered eating, diabetes, and weight-inclusive nutrition counseling.
The best clinicians grow through mentorship, collaboration, and shared learning. And the best client care starts with supporting the clinicians who provide it. That’s why we’ve built a practice where dietitians can provide compassionate, evidence-based care rooted in the principles of Intuitive Eating and Health at Every Size®, while receiving the support they need to thrive professionally.
Whether you’re just beginning your outpatient career or looking for your long-term professional home, you’ll find transparent compensation, manageable caseloads, administrative support, and a collaborative team that’s genuinely invested in your success.

Build what works for you
Everyone at Ruby Oak starts part-time while building a caseload.
You can start with as little as 10 hours of weekly availability, with a minimum expected caseload of 8 client hours per week.
Looking for part-time on purpose? Great. Part-time isn’t simply a stepping stone to a “real” position here. If a smaller clinical caseload is what works for your life, you can build a long-term role around it.
Interested in full-time? There’s a path for that, too. Dietitians who want a fuller caseload can work toward 23+ billable client hours per week and become eligible for our full-time benefits.
Building a full caseload takes time. Most dietitians who want to move into full-time can expect a ramp-up period of approximately 2–4 months, depending on schedule availability, specialties, client retention, and caseload growth.

Why dietitians choose Ruby Oak Nutrition
Practice according to your values
Provide evidence-based nutrition counseling rooted in Intuitive Eating, Health at Every Size®, and a weight-inclusive approach. We don’t ask our dietitians to promote restrictive diets or weight-focused care.
Never practice alone
Private practice doesn’t have to be isolating. Through regular team meetings, individual supervision, shadowing opportunities, and group case consultation, you’ll always have experienced colleagues to learn from and lean on.
Focus on your clients
Our administrative team manages insurance billing, benefits verification, new client scheduling, and many day-to-day administrative tasks so you can spend more time doing the work you love.
Build a long-term career
We’re committed to helping dietitians grow. With a structured career ladder, transparent compensation, and consistent mentorship, you can continue developing your skills without leaving clinical practice.
Find work-life balance
Reasonable caseload expectations, remote and hybrid options, and the opportunity to transition to a four-day workweek after your first year help make this a sustainable career.
Choose full-time or part-time work
One of the best things about the work we do is that it lends itself to both full-time and part-time employment. Every dietitian can choose what’s best for them, and we’re always open to employees switching from full-time to part-time (and vice versa) as life changes.
