Sarah Booth (she/her) MS, RD, LDN, CDCES, is an eating disorder dietitian and Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist who practices Health at Every Size (HAES) and Intuitive Eating. She is deeply passionate about building a collaborative relationship with clients as they progress in their recovery journey.

Sarah received her Bachelor of Science (BS) and Master of Science (MS), both in Nutrition and
Dietetics, from Appalachian State University, and became a Licensed Dietitian (LDN) in 2021.
Initially, she worked in outpatient counseling for Novant New Hanover Regional Medical
Center’s cardiopulmonary rehabilitation program. In this position, she provided individualized
nutrition counseling to patients with a variety of nutritional needs ranging from diabetes
management to nutrition education for chronic disease. While working with patients participating
in the rehabilitation program, Sarah saw a wide range of individuals struggling with disordered
eating and eating disorders alongside their other health conditions. This is where she began to
shift her nutrition career path to focus primarily on disordered eating and eating disorders.

More recently, Sarah was the primary dietitian at a residential treatment facility for adults with
eating disorders. While in this role, she immediately found her passion for supporting individuals
in eating disorder recovery. She has worked diligently to specialize in eating disorder care and
finds that the collaborative nature of working with her clients is the most rewarding part of her
career.

With her background in chronic disease management, Sarah has developed a special interest
in working with clients who are managing diabetes and other chronic illnesses while navigating disordered eating or eating disorder recovery. She takes a non-diet approach to diabetes care, empowering clients to manage blood sugar and other symptoms by becoming experts on their own bodies instead of trying cookie-cutter diets and meal plans that don’t actually work. She is willing to work with anyone ready to take a step forward
in making their goals a reality.

Outside of work, Sarah likes building Lego sets and pursuing a hobby in bouldering. She enjoys
spending quality time with her husband, Alex, and the three resident cats – Nova, Nori, and
Ziggy.
